B&O 3518, Columbus, Ohio, August 29, 1986, Photo by T.N. Colbert. This is very near the end of the B&O as a separate corporate name...soon this locotive will be repainted in CSX colors. On this engine the older original smaller markings are showing up under the paint. When deilivered the original B&O lettering was smaller as can be seen here. The original B&O would have been Sans-Serif, but upon being repainted Serifs were used on the "B". This engine has survived most of its career with a standard Leslie 3 chime airhorn as well. A very standard GP35 to the end.
